The master coachmakers have resolved to insist on their men working nine hours daily after Monday next. The men have offered to work fifty-one hours weekly, but the employers insist on fifty-three or a lock out. The men have pledged themselves to cease

work rather than to agree. There is litti* probability of their side giving in, and most of the men will strike. At a meeting of the committee of th» Jockey Club the disqualification of the jockey Bancroft was endorsed.
