CHRIbTOBUROH Tuesday, Ootobkb 12. (“Before G. L. Mellish, Esq., B.M.] Civil Oases.—Judgment was for plaintiffs in Hicks v Columbus, £1 3s, Scott y Bray, £4 6s 7d. Judgment went by default in City Council v Long, £9 Is ; Kitchen, £5 7fl 4d ; Martin, £8 10s 3d ; Kennedy, £1 14s 6d ,- Bradshaw, £1 10s 8d ; O’Rourke, £1 10s 8d ; Lilly, £1 6s lOd ; Martin, 13s, and Murphy, £9 Os 9d ; Coker v Mackay, £10; Hoakina v Palmer, £ll 17s 6d ;; Sheath v Mills, £ll 6s 9d ; Percy v Jansen, 18s 6d, and Patrick v Raven, £3 10s. Hill v Cochrane, City Council v Smith, and Macfarlane v Beatty, were adjourned till the 19th; City Council v Murphy till the 14th inst.
LYTTELTON. Wednesday, Octobeb 6. [Before J, Beawiok, Esq , R.M., and T. H. Potts, Esq., J.P. No Jurisdiction.—ln the civil case Parkinson v Bondin, claim £39 5s 7d, Mr Nalder for plaintiff, Mr Joyca for defendant, the Bench decided on the point raised by Mr Joyce that it had no jurisdiction. Defendant’s costs were allowed. Anxious to Withdbaw. —Mr Talbot, a boarding-house keeper on Norwich quay, applied to the Bench for permission to withdraw his bond given some time since for the good behavior of Alexander Heron, whom ho described as having been “on the drunk ” for four days, notwithstanding the fact of his having assured Mr Talbot ho would join the Good Templars. The Bench was not sure that the application could bo entertained, but would consider it.
