The Customs duties collected at Christchurch on Tuesday, October sth, were as follows: Spirits, .£247 19s 7d ; tobacco, .£l2l ISs ; wine, ,£32 Is; beer, £ll 11s; sugar. £57 2s 7d; tea, £59 Us 4d; goods by weight. Is fid ; ad valorem, £75 13s ; other duties, £54 4a; total, £653 19s lid. PROPERTY SALE. At the rooms of Mr Dfcarles Clark ou Tuesday last, 1100 acres of land at Chertsey, adjoining the township, was offered for sale. The properly, which is much improved, is known oa Brown’s farm, and was put up by order of the Registrar of the Supreme Court. The mortgagees. whose account due on the farm is about £7500, were declared the purchasers. It is understood that the property will be divided into sections for sale or to let.
