ASHBURTON TOWN HALL COMPANY.
The annual meeting of shareholders of the above company was held last Tuesday evening, Mr T. Bullock in the chair. The direo'ors’ report showed that since the last annual mooting the hall had been improved, including two front shops with a verandah, and a lobby connecting the dressing-room with the body of the hall. The gallery bad been divided into a convenient room for meeting, and a handsome dress circle, and the stage remodelled and decorated. It also recommended to call up the remainder of the shares and obtain a loan of £I6OO at 8 percent. The chairman expressed a hope that a good dividend would bo declared next year, and moved the adoption of the report, which spas agreed to. On the motion of Mr St. Hill, the retiring directors were re-elected. Messrs Zouch and Q-undry were elected auditors, A vote of thanks to Mr O. P. Oox and other directors was carried unanimously, and the meeting terminated. At a subsequent meeting of tho directors, Mr Bullock was re-elected chairman,
