JUNCTION HOTEL, RANGIORA.
This hotel was opened on Tuesday last, when there was a large patronage shown to it, the present proprietor, Mr John Roberts, being well and favorably known in the district. After the luncheon Mr W. Buss proposed “ Health and Prosperity to the Host,” stating that in spite of the assertions that this hotel was ten years at least ahead of the times, he thought that under the presidency of mine host it would be found by no means in advance of the period. The trade of the district was on the increase, and with it the advancement of public accommodation ought to be looked for. He was certain that the management of this betel would be found second to none in the district. Mr Roberts responded, stating that it was his wish to find accommodation for all, and his object would be to please the public in every way with the conveniences which tho hotel could afford. Upwards of 130 persons were present at the lunch in the large dining hall.
