The followins letter appears in this morning's issue of the " Press " : TO THE EDITOR OF THE PRESS. Sir, —"We, the undersigned, beg to respectfully record our satisfaction at the despatoh accorded to our respective ships during our stay in the Port of Lyttelton, despatch which, we ■can assure you, excels thit of any other port in New Zealand, and, taking into consideration the young colony, compares with that of any other port in ths world. Our respective ships commenced to discharge -cargo here on the 25th August, and in twentysix working days discharged coal and received grain to the extent of 4000 tons respectively, or say 8000 tons in all. To our respective consignees, shippers, our agents (Messrs Rovse, Steid and Co.), the railway and Harbor Boird officials, we tender our sincerest thanks for the many kind considerations extended to us, and trust that our future destination from the old country will be Lyttelton, if a New Zealand port.
