ST. MICHAEL’S ENTERTAINMENT.
Another of these entertainments was given last evening in St. Michael’s schoolroom, Durham street. Tho various items on the programme were rendered in a commendable manner. The performance of the band, under Mr Hamilton’s tuition, was excellent ; one of the items, viz. the *• Festival Galop,” composed by Mr Hamilton, being encored. Mr Yule was very good in hia delineation of transatlantic humor, the selection being a “ Lecture on Courting,” which excited the risible faculties of the audience. The clarionet duet “ Home, Sweet Home,” by Messrs Tucker and Fennell, was an artistic rendering of a well worn theme, and brought down well merited applause. The Wizard of the South performed various tricks of legerdemain, and contributed greatly to the amusement of tho evening. Mr Joseph song “Phyllis is my only Lave ” very well indeed. Tho National .anthem concluded the entertainment.
