Mr Bishop, the Englishman who was condemned somo years ago to a term of imprisonment for high treason, has, on a petition from fais relations, been pardoned by the German Hmperor. The height of the towers of Cologne Cathedral ia 524 ft. llin., from the pavement of the cloisters, or 515 ft. lin. from the floor of the ohorch ; that of St. Paul’s, Liondon, 365 ft. I'm.; and of Kotre Dime, Paris, 232 ft. llin. The cupola of St. Peter’s, at Rome, is 469 ft. im.
