POLICE COURT.
OHHIBTOHUBOH. Wednesday, Sepiembkh 15. [Before J. Ollivior, J. Inglis and S, Hewlings. Eeqs., J.P’sJ DetoyenNesb.—For first offences, three men were dismissed wfth a caution. Henry Davis was fined ss, and Charles Doyle, who was in charge of a horse and cart when arrested drunk, was fined 10s. Vaqbancy. —The case of James Sullivan was again considered. Inspector O’Donnell said Mr March was still absent from town, and nothing bad been done as to prisoner’s re-admittance to the Ashburton Old Men’a Home. Ho had been pronounced very ill by a doctor, who had to be called to him on the previous evening, and it was very undesirable to keep him in the lock-up in his present state. The Bench egreed with that and recommended that the police try to get prisoner into the Hospital for the present. Prisoner was then remanded till Wednesday.
