THE DRUIDS.
The Hope of St. Albans hold their usual meeting at the Knightstown Library on Tuesday evening, 7th inst. There was a very limited attendance. Bros. Hirst and Bennett were elected auditors. A committee of nine was appointed to moke arrangements for a tea and entertainment on the anniversary of the opening of the lodge. A motion for a benevolent fund in connection with the lodge was postponed until next mooting. The lodge was then closed.—A summoned meeting of the Oak of Sydenham Lodge was held at the St. Saviour’s Schoolroom on Wednesday evening. There was a very large attendance, including several visitors. A set of collars made in Christchurch was presented to the lodge. A.D. Bro. Mills thanked the committee for their handsome present. A hearty vote of thanks was also recorded on the minutes to the committee. Bros. Bapenott, Tomson, Kerr, Skinner, Hill, Day, and adfield. D.P. Bro. Swinnerton then invested the various officers with their collars. One member was initiated and three were proposed. Dr. Deamer was appointed a lodge surgeon. A vote of thanks was accorded to the by-law committee for the trouble they had taken in preparing and getting the bylaws registered. It was decided to pay an official visit to the Pioneer Lodge at their next meeting. The lodge was then closed.
