MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.
ASHBURTON. The election of throe members to fill three vacant seats on the above Council took place last Thursday, and resulted as follows: Mr Q. St. Hi 11... ... 163 Mr Joseph Ivess 117 Mr Weymouth Roberts ... 109 Mr John Orr ... ... ... 68 Dr. Trevor 65 The poll was declared shortly after 7 p.m., and the three first-named candidates duly elected. A good deal of interest was manifested in the election during the day.
