MUSICAL SERVICE.

A musical service in Bid of the orian fund of St. John's, Latimer square, took place last evening, when there was a largo attendanca, the church being crowded. The programme selected for the occasion oomprised sixteen numbers, three of which were hymns, three choruses by the choir, a duet and chorus, and two solos. The organ musio was selected from the works of Batiste, Mendelssohn, Mozart, Rink, and Barnby. Mr Landergan presided at the organ, and it is needless to say displayed the powers of the instrument to the best advantage. The new stops were brought into requisition, notably in the " War March of the Prießte," from " Athalie," Haydn's Symphony No. 2, and the adagio movement from Mozart's Sonata, op. 11. During the service an offertory was made in aid of the fund.
