ST. MARY'S, ADDINGTON.
A meeting for the purpose of establishing a parochial branch of the Church Work Society was held in the schoolroom on Tuesday evening, Aug. 10th, when about forty persons wore present. The Rev. Herbert East occupied tho chair, and introduced the Rev. W. C. Harris, who attended to explain the objects of the parent society and the working of its parochial branchea. After discussion, the following resolutions were passed :—" That a branch of the Church Work Society be formed in tho parish of Addington." " That thiß parochial branch consist of the curate, who shall be ex officio chairman, the church officers, the lay reader, the Sunday school teachers, organist, choir, district visitors, members of the ladies' working party, the collectors, subscribers of not les3 than shillings per annum, and all members of the Church Work Society residing in the parish." " That the affairs of the parochial branch be managed by a committee, consisting of the curate, who Bhall bo ex officio chairman, Messrs. Bell, Cooper, Lone, and D. Nairn, and Mesdames East, Craig, Hobden, and Pratt." A vote of thanks to the Rev. W. 0. Harris for his kindness in attending tbe meeting was then passed, and the meeting adjourned.
