DIOCESAN SUNDAY SCHOOL ASSOCIATION.

The usual monthly meeting of the Diocesan Sunday School Association, was held last evening, in St. John’s schoolroom. There was a very poor attendance. The chair was occupied by the Eev. T. Flavel, who, before introducing the lecturer, read out the following notice of motion for next meeting:— “ That the two diocesan committees at present existing, viz., the diocesan education committee, and the diocesan Sunday School Association committee, be amalgamated. ” He then introduced the Rev. H. 0. M. Watson, who delivered a very able and inetructivo lecture, entitled “ The Records of the Past, and their Relationship with the Bible,’’ showing very fully and clearly that the records of such important events as the creation, entrance of sin, deluge and others, are exactly in accordance with the narratives as recorded in the Bible. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Mr Watson at the close of the lecture, ard the meeting was closed by singing ard prayer.
