LYTTELTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
The usual meeting of this Council was held on Monduy night. Present —Ors. McClatchie (in the chair, Woyburn, Wood, Macdonald, Reed, Grubb. The receipts since the previous meeting wore £6B 18s 2d. A letter was read from tho Colonists' Society, informing the Council of a resolution passed at a meeting of the committee, asking that a urinal bo erected on the old well site near the society's hall. Tho request was acceded to. Mr E. J. Piercy's application for o pormit to lay in water services was granted. Aocounts amounting to £lO2 8s lid were passed for payment. It was decided to leave the question of temporarily olosing a part of St. David's street, near Mr Child's residence, with the works committee. Leave of absence was granted to Or. Macpherson.
