[betjteb's telegbams.] MELBOURNE, August 11. Shipping. Sailed —Arawata, for the Bluff. SYDNEY, August 11. Appointments. The Hon. Saul Samuel, PostmasterGeneral, has been appointed AgentGeneral in London. The Hon. Francis Bathurst Sutton has been appointed Postmaster-General, and Sir G. L. Innis has been appointed Minister of Justice and Public Instruction. A Singular Youth. The youth named Ball, who offered Sir Henry Parkes, the Premier and Colonial Secretary, £SO as a bribe in consideration of the Premier securing him an appointment in the Civil Service, has been brought to trial and discharged on his own recognizances.
