I.O.G.T.—ST. ANDREW'S LODGE, No. 41.

At the weekly session, held on Tuesday, August 3rd, after the ordinary business the following officers were installed by the L.D., with the usual ceremonies :—W.C.T., Bro. Efford (re-elected); W.V.T., Sister Carter; W. 8., Bro. Ogier (re-elected) ; W. 0., Bro. Carter; W.T., Bro. Davis (re-eleoted) ; W.T.S., Bro. Herriott; W.M., Bro. Cox; W.D.M., Sister Ogier; W.A.S., Sister Alexander; W.B.H S., Sister Whyte; W.L.H.8., Sister Boardman; P.W.C.T., Bro. Clephane. Tuesday evening last was the occasion of an open meeting, when the room, was well filled with visitors and friends, who were regaled with an entertainment both instructive and amusing, calculated to advanoe the principles of the Order in the estimation of the public The proceedings were opened with an able speech by the chairman (Bro. Efford), followed with a solo from Sister Pedlar, reading by Bro. Parker, song by Bro. T. Heath, dialogue by Bros. Oliver, part song —Sis. Heath, Bros. Hepworth and Heath, song by Bro. Woledge (encored), reoitation by Bro. Oliver, and, lastly, a very ablo and comprehensive lecture by Dr Bussell, who, for the space of an hour, claimed the attention of those present while he lucidly explained the advantages to be obtained by the adoption of total abstinence principles. This_, with votes of thanks to speakers and singers, j brought an enjoyable meeting to a close.
