The Chairman intimated that he would telegraph to the Minister of Lands on the subject. The Board then proceeded to consider the plan of their property, laid on tho table by Mr Harman. After some discussion as to the best mode of dealing with the reserves, it was decided to -obtain preliminary information with a view to sub-dividing the reserves (as soon as the Crown grants are received) into convenient blocks, providing that so far as possible each block shall run down to the water. It was understood, in addition, that tho divisions established by existing roads and fences should be reserved, so as to give present residents an opportunity of taking up the land hstween themselves and tho river. The overseer, on being called in to the boardroom, reported on the state of the river, which was considered satisfactory. He oleo stated that the contractors were making slow progress, but doing their work well. Accounts to the amount of about £3OO were passed. The Board then adjourned.-
