LOCAL INDUSTRIES ASSOCIATION.
A committee meeting of the abort was held last night al the offices ol Messrs Draper, Charters and Co. Mr Allai occupied the chair, and there was a good attendance of members. It was resolved that < set of views of the late exhibition as photographed by Mr Chsrrill, be procured for th< use of the Association. Mr Hulbert suggested that the committee should fix the date of the annual meeting. Mr Toomer moved—“ That the date of the annual meeting be fixed foi August I9th, at the Corn Exchange, if obtainable.” Air Howland seconded the motion, which was agreed to. The secretary was instructed to advertise that nominations for the committee must be made with the secretary on or before the 12th inst. The committee resolved to appoint a sub-committee to draw up the annual report for presentation to the general meeting, the sub-committee to consist of the president end secretary, to report to the committee on Friday, the 13th inat The committee then adjourned.
