PROPOSED ASHBURTON HIGH SCHOOL.

At a meeting o' the Board of Governors ol the above-proposed school, a letter was read from Mr E. G. Wright, approving of the establishment of the school, as he did not thini the money should be kept idle. Mr B. H. Eyton wrote, enclosing a list of the names of twenty-five boys guaranteed to attend the school, and stating that he had no doubt that there were many more parents in the district who would send their children to the school After some discnsciV.n Mr Grigg move/! “ That Mr Foots’ sketch-plan of a baiidinj be approved, and tenders called for its tree tion, the tenders to be considered that month.” The motion was seconded’-by Mr Cox and carried.
