SITTINGS IN CHAMBERS.
BATUBDAY, JOT* 31. [Before His Honor Mr Juatioe Johnston.] His Honor sat in the Court at 11 a.m. BATTNDBBB T (JODBT. Mr George Harper, for the plaintiff, applied herein for order for settlement of issues and fixing of time and plaoe of trial. Mr Bruges appeared for defendant, and applied for a special jury. His Honor made the order, fixing the trial by speoial jury at the October sittings. STEW ZEALAND LOAN AND MERCANTILE COMPANY T THOB. WTLBON. A similar order was made in this case, on the motion of Mr Garrick for the plaintiff. BB GBOBGB TAYLOR CLARK. In this case a Judge's summons had issued, calling on the debtor to show cause why he should not be adjudicated a bankrupt on petition of a creditor. There was no return to the summons, the debtor having left the colony. His Honor made the order of adjudication as prayed. COOP Y NUTT. In this case, on the application of Mr McOonnel for defendant, His Honor made an order setting aside the writ for informality. ORDERS TOR PROBATE. Probate was granted to exeoutors named in the cases of Peter Strachan, Joseph Pattrick, Samuel Bradley and Alexander Galletly. PBTTDHOB Y HEATS. Mr McConnel, for the defendant, applied for an order dismissing this action for want of proceeding unless steps be taken by the plaintiff within eight daj s. His Honor made the order with costs. WILSON V DOtTN. Mr Bruges applied for order requiring the plaintiff to make affidavit of possession of certain documents. His Honor (Mr Joynt, for plaintiff, consenting) made an order for the affidavit to be made within fourteen days. ASHTON V ORITBB. In this case the minutes of decree were settled. BE ALBERT PBPPLBB. Mr Bruges appeared to show cause to a rule 4iigi why the trustee herein had not called a meeting of creditors. , Mr Slater appeared in support of the rule. His Honor made the rale absolute. WILSON V D3APEB AND CHABTBBS. On the motion of Mr Garrick, for Mr Holmes, His Honor made an order directing interrogatives to issue to defendants, to be answered within fourteen days. ORDERS OP DISCHARGE. Final orders of discharge were granted in the following cases : —J. Booth, F. Smith, G. W. Geddes, W. Aitken, J. H. Doyle, E. Teague, H. Manson, T. Woodfield, J. Dale, Luke Brown. John Pease, J. Hogg, and G. S. Husband.
