After a number of chsnges the fawn and white came at the finish, one of the bngest courses of the meeting ensuing. Lancashire Lass was fastest from the slip in a course with Yaldhurst, the former having the first two turns and a wrench, taking the hare through a fence and ■gaining an easy win. Holy Friar beat Seftou in a short run through the stubble. Her Eoval Highnasa led Lucy by favor, and turned to Lucy,°when a fine course took place, in which the latter showed good points, winning the grand course easilv. Maori ran a bye in company with Guv Fawkes. For the third ties'of'the Cup 'Rhododendron led Little Queen by two lengths for the first turn, and, wrenching, placed the latter for the nest turn. In the fourth ties of the St. Leger, Lancashire LaBS waß alwavs much too forward in a long course with Liffy. Lucy and Maori ran an undecided. Holy Friar ran a bye. In running their undecidod, Lucy led Maori and won a long course with plenty to spare. Through Lucy being drawn lame, Holy Friar and Lancashire Lass were entitled to a bye each. Ihe owners agreed to run off the final course, which was done, Lancashire Lbbs beating Holy Friar rather easily. The remaining courses for the Cup and bt. Leger were run off on Saturday morning on the estate of Mr Gamble. The weather was not favorable, owing to the showers of ram that fell during the night and early morning. Only nine oourses remained to be finished, but by Rhododendron beating Little Queen, the number was reduood to seven, Mr McDonald dividing first and second money with Rhododendron and Cineraria. The former ran a game dog, and won every oourse with the latter, his full aister to Banshee and Cineraria ran an exciting course together, the former showing grand quality, but having unfortunately a double tumble was out of it. In the St. Leger, Miss Lucy was withdrawn lame, after heating Maori in the fourth ties. Mr Wise s decisions were successful in every instance, not once during the whole meet were they disputed Mr Turner gave general satisfaction as slipper. But taking the meeting altogether it cannot be cansidered a success, as only four of the stewards attended, and the management concerning the beaters was so lax that most of the hares which were started got away without a run.
