Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under: — THURSDAY, JULY 29 For Akaroa and Otago, per Taiaroa. at 11.25 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.35 a.m.; guard’s van, 12.10 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Rotomabana, at 3.15 p.m. ; late fee letters at 3.25 p.m.; guard’s van, 3.55 p.m. train. TUESDAY, AUGUST 3. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Eingarooma. The next mail for the United Kingdom, &0., via San Francisco, will close at Christchurch on August 14th. Mail will be due in London on September 28th.
