THE INDUSTRIAL EXHIBITION.
The attendance at the Exhibition yesterday was again very large, so much so that in the evening the doors had to be closed for half an boor in order to allow the crush somewhat to abate. During the evening the Railway Band played some selections very nicely. To-day the Commission have arranged to visit the Exhibition at nine o’clock, in order that they may examine the exhibits without the crush -of the public. At ten o’clock to-night, Mr Allan, the president of the Association, will close the Exhibition, and deliver a short address. Mr J. G. Hawkes, one of the members of the Orphanage committee, received a telegram from the Hon. the Premier, ■tating that instructions had been given for the Orphan children to bo carried free by rail in order that they might visit the Exhibition. The Railway Band will play the following programme this evening: Quick march {sacred), “Meet me at the Fountain,” E. Newton; grand contest selection, “ Zampa ” and “Pre auxOlercs,” Herold ; selection from the opera, “Le Cloches de Oomeville,” Plaingette; fantasia, “La Talleedes Roses,” F.Domain ; fantasia varie, “ Souvenir de Valance,” M. Bledger; selection, “ The Azure Lake,” B. Mullot; fantasia, “London Echoes,” R. Smith; grand selection from the opera, “ H. M. 8. Pinafore,” A. Sullivan ; National Anthem.
