MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under THURSDAY, JULY 15.
For Otago, per Wakatipu, at 4.20 p.m. ; late fee letters, at 435 p.m.; guard’s van, 5.25 p.m. train.
For Akaroa, per Wellington, at 12.30 p.m. ; late fee letters at 12.45 p m.; guard’s yan, 1.25 p.m. train. For Northern Ports and Australian Colonies, (except Tasmania) per Te Anau, at 7 p.m. The guard’s van must not bo used for this mail. SATURDAY, JULY 17. For the United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America, West Indies, China, Japan (via San Francisco), Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, Australian Colonies (except Tasmania), &0., per Hawea, as follows: —Ordinary letters, at 6,30 p.m.; late foe letters, at 7 p.m.; books and newspapers, at 6 p.m,; money orders, at 4 p.m.; registered letters, at 5 p.m. ; guard’s van, 8.15 p.m. train. This mail will be due in London on August 31st.
The next mail outwards via Bnndisi will close at Christchurch at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, 28th July. Mail will be due in Loudon on 18th September. Notice. —The Post Office at Aylesbury is closed from 6tb instant. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
