MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Peat Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under: — TUESDAY, JULY 13. For Northern ports, per Taiaroa, at 7 p.m. The guard’s van must not be used for this mail. WEDNESDAY, JULY 14. For Otago, per Wakatipu, at 1.50 p.m, ; late fee letters, at 2.10 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. THURSDAY, JULY 15. For Northern Ports and Australian Colonies, (except Tasmania) per Te Anau. A supplementary mail for Australian Colonies (except Tasmania) will be made up by Hawea on 17th July, to oo meet with Te Anau and Auckland. For Akaroa, per Wellington. SATURDAY, JULY 17. For the United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America, West Indies, China, Japan (via San Francisco), Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, Australian Colonies (except Tasmania), <ec., per Hawea, as follows:—Ordinary letters, at 6,30 p.m.; late fee letters, at 7 p.m.; books and newspapers, at 6 p.m,; money orders, at 4 pm.; registered letters, at 5 p.m. ; guard’s van, 8.15 p.m. train. This mail will be due in London on August 31st. The next mail outwards via Brindisi will close at Chriatchu-’ch at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, 28th July. Mail will be due in London on 18th September.
