CANTERBURY SABBATH SCHOOL TEACHERS’ INSTITUTE.

At a meeting of the committee held on Thursday evening, the Bth instant, in the vestry of the Congregational Church, it was resolved—“ That the next monthly meeting of the Institute be held in the Durham street Wesleyan Schoolroom on the last Thursday of July, and that the Rev. Mr Reid be invited to give a paper or address on that occasion.” It was also arranged that refreshments be provided on that evening from 630 to 7.30 n.m., free of charge. Sines then Mr Reid has signified his willingness to comply with the request of the committee, and the subject of his address will be announced by advertisement. Should the weather prove favorable, combined with the fact of the well-known ability of the lecturer, the committee fully anticipate that the meeting will be one of the moat successful that has yet been held in connection with the institute.
