LIGHTING CATHEDRAL SQUARE.

To the Editor of the Globe. Sib, —I think it must be patent to ail observers that Cathedral square is very insufficiently lighted up these dark nights, and I venture to suggest to the City Council to cooperate if possible (as I know they are short of funds) with the Tramway Company and the Cathedral Commissioners, with a view of having three or four additional lamps erected at this particular spot. It is quite possible that the company would defray the cost of lighting the same, as they would derive the most benefit; and most likely the Commissioners would be inclined to pay for erecting them- At any rate I throw out the hint, and leave it to be considered at the next meeting of the Council. Tours, &c., LIGHT.
