The ketch Huon Belle, Captain Petersen, arrived to-day from Gatlin’s River, whence she sailed yesterday week with a cargo of timber. Last Monday, during a heavy N.E. gale, the deck cargo shifted and a seaman named Schwenbergenson, who was at the time helping_ to shsrten sail, got one of his legs so jammed by the timber as to break it just above the ankle. The master used as much medical skill on the broken limb as he possessed, and on arrival of the vessel had the unlucky sailor taken to the casual ward. „ _ The Fawn, for this port, left Newcastle June 18th, and the Island City next day. The Elizabeth, hence, arrived on June Isth.
