MALL NOTICES.

Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under THURSDAY, JULY 1. For the United Kingdom, via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only), Continent of Europe, Point de Galle, India, tho East, Aden, Mauritius, Natal, Cape of Good Hope, Suez, the Mediterranean Ports, Australian Colonies, &c., per express train, to connect with s.s. Eingarooma at the Bluff, ns follows :—Ordinary letters, at 7 a.m. Books and newspapers, at 6 a.m. Registered letters, at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Juno 30th. Money orders, at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30th. Lata fee letters may be posted in the travelling post-office van attached to the express train, on Thursday, July 1. This mail will be due in London on August 21st. Note. —The Brindisi letter rale of postage for the United Kingdom is 8d per half-ounce. For Northern ports and Australian Colonies, via Sydney, per Arawata. at 3.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.25 p.m.; guard’s van, 3.55 p.m. train. For Otago, per Hawea, at 1.50 p.m.; late foe letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. Tho next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will ho closed at Christchurch on July 17, and will be due in London on August 31. Notice. —The post office at Springbank will be re-opened from 28th June, 1880. SYDNEY J, DICK, Chief Postmaster.
