ODDFELLOWSHIP.
There wan a very largo attendance at the half-yearly meeting of Oddfellows, held in the Templar Hall, Ashburton, last Friday evening, when the following officers were elected for the ensuing year : F. Scott; Y.G., Bro. Joshua Tucker; E.S., Bro. James Taib; L.M., Past-Grand Bro. Cullen; W., Bro. Thomas Gibson; 1.G., Bro. Baylis; E.S. to N.G., Bro. E. Anderson; E.S. to N.G., Bro. E. Macfarlane; Permanent Secretary, Bro. Minnia ; Auditors, Bros. Scott and Reid. The report of the sick visitors showed that not a single case of illness had occurred to any member of the lodge daring the half year, and the ball committee stated the arrangements which they had made fiy the celebration of the anniversary of the lodge. Twenty-five new members had been enrolled during the half year, and there were now sixty.two paying members on the bsoks. A past officer’s certificate of merit was presented to Bro. Dolman on vacating the chair of NQ. The veport showed that the lodge had £175 out on mortgage, and there was £7O to its credit in the Bank. The meeting concluded with the usual compliments to the retiring officers and the chairman.
