Catlin, ketch, 46 tons, Matheson, from Gatlin’s Eiver. Master, agent. Arrived— June 25. Tui, 5.3-, 64 tons. Wills, from Kaikoura and Wellington. Cuff and Graham, agents. Passengers—Mrs Crabb and child. In spector Buck ley. Sergeant Kara say, one prisoner, Messrs Wyld, Beecher, Smalley, Eeardin. Go-Ahead, s.s., 129 tons, Dicker, from Wellington and Napier. Cuff and Graham, agents. Sailed —June 24. Taiaroa, s.s., 223 tons, Pietersen, for Aknroa and Port Chalmers. B. Pnflatt, agent. Passengers—Messrs Wilkin, Hall, Shaw, steerage one. The ketch Catlin arrived yesterday from Catlin’s Eiver, timber laden. She left there on the 15th current, and met with heavy gales from the north and north-east. On last Sunday she took shelter at Port Chalmers, getting her decks swept three times when crossing the bar there. She left on Tuesday, and had moderate weather since. The Loch Awe sailed for this port from Gravesend, on May 4th. The Merope, with thirty-one passengers, is out sixty-seven days to-day, for Wellington. The Helen Denny sailed from London for this port on April 28th, with twenty passengers. The Sonkar arrived at Gravesend on April 25th, from Geriong. The Lnngstone was loadmg at London tor Auckland on April 19th. The Halcione, 843 tons; Loch Cree. 791 tons, and Waitangi, were loading at London on May 7th, for this port. The Otago sailed from Glasgow for Port Chalmers on April 29th, and the Matanra, from Deal, April 22nd. The tonnage loading on the berth at London. May 6th, for India, China, and the Cape of Good Hope, amounted to 46,357 tons ; and for Australia and New Zealand, to 54,695 tons. THE HUDSON. The first thing yesterday morningthis barque was cleared by the officials. Captain Patieson "being indisposed, the following report of the passage was kindly supplied by Mr Ponget, the chief officer of the vessel: —The Hudson left the East India Docks on March 15th, and Gravesend next day. Had fine weather and easterly winds down the Channel, and on the 18th landed the pilot. The following day teok departure from the Lizard with a fresh 8 E. breeze, and had good weather to sighting Palma on the 29th. Fell in with the first of the N.E. trades in 27 N; they were fresh and held to making 2N. Carried the S.E. trades from 4.5 S. to 20 S., having crossed the eqnator on April 12th, in 27 W. From losing the S.E. trades experienced variable weather and fresh westerlies in running down the easting, the ship doing good work until within a few days before making the Snares on June lsth. On June 4th, a heavy S.E. gale was met with, and from then to the date named adverse winds and thick weather were experienced. Since making this coast, variable winds have prevailed, the Nugget light bein'* sighted on last Friday and Cape Saunders light last Sunday. "Was off Banks’ Peninsula on Tuesday, and made the port the following night in tow of the ss. Akaroa. The entry of the Hudson has been completed at the Customs by Messrs Edwards, Bennett and Co., who announce that a clearance sight will he passed to day. SHIPPING TELEQEAMS. Auckland, Jane 24.
