[Bt Telegbaph.] WELLINGTON, June 24. At the meeting of the University Senate, the following report of the examiners was passed: L.L.B. Degree —That Fredk. Fitchett, 8.A., and Root. Hy. Rattray, 8.A., be each granted L.L.B. degrees. Honors—Jas. Hay, Ist class in languages and literature, and Ist class in political science. Wm. Hy. "West, 8.A., has passed the first examination for L.L.B. Fredk. Fitohett is Ist class in political science. George Montgomery has a medical scholar* ship awarded him. It was resolved that Jas. Hay, 8.A., and Fred. Fitchett, 8.A., having taken honors, be both admitted to degree of M.A. That Anne Bolton, Andrew Cameron, Helen Cameron, Wm. Henry Herbert, Jas. Bonaldson Thornton, and Herbert William Williams do pass for B.A. That senior scholarships be awarded to the following candidates :—Margaret Lilian Florence Edgar, for mathematics; W. Bookless Douglas, for Greek; Benjamin Michael Connail, for Latin; John Inness, for English ; Gertrude Grierson, for English ; John King Davis, for Latin; Wm. Fidler, for Latin, Freach, and mental science ; Alexander Montgomery, for zoology; Charles Chilton, for mathematics; W. Deans Milne, for Latin ; W. Henry Herbert, for chemistry and physical science. Yotes of thanks were passed to Dr. Carpenter for the trouble he has taken in the management of the last examination, to Mr Carleton for the successful arrangements for the examination, and to Mr Thomas Douse, Chief Clerk in the University of London, for his services in the conduct of examinations.
