NATIVE INTELLIGENCE.
[FEB PBESB) ASSOCIATION SPEOIAIj WIBB.] NEW PLYMOUTH, June 21. The Hinemoa arrived from Wellington this morning with the Native Minister. Immediately after landing Mr Bryce proceeded to the camp at Ngakanuku. It is said that the unexpected visit of the Native Minister is in connection with the recent obstruction by the Natives to the road parties in erecting fences across the road. The Natives have shown much determination in the matter. Some Europeans who have visited Te Whiti say that he has expressed himself as pleased that the Government have not put in prison the men who pulled down the fence. [PBOSr OTTB OWN COBBEBPONDENT.] WELLINGTON, June 21. The latest telegram reoeived to-day by the Government regarding the West Coast difficulty, as to which I sent you a hurried telegram at midnight on Sunday, is to the effect that the Hinemoa reaohed New Plymouth at seven o'clock this morning, and the sea being calm Mr Bryce was able to land at once, and proceed on his journey southward. The two constabulary camps are now only seven miles apart, with free communication between them ; both are also connected by telegraph wire with Wellington, small travelling offices having been sent up by Dr. Lemon, which are moved on with advance of the respective camps. Mr Bryce started for the camp at 10 a.m., and Mr Parris had gone to meet him. The constabulary have temporarily suspended operations awaiting Mr Bryce's arrival.
