Tpeb pbbss association special wibb.] WELLINGTON, June 21. The barque Malay, from Newcastle, brings the following items : NEW SOUTH WALES. It is generally considered certain that tho present Parliament will be brought to a close within a fortnight. David John Newton, solicitor, of Lithsgow, now undergoing two years for forgery, was brought up on June 10th on a charge of forging Judge Windeyer's signature in an action for divorce. He was further committed for trial. Three childron were burnt to death on June 11th at Nioholas Punoh's Hotel, Woolloomooloo. The Attorney-General, in answer to the Hon. Mr Buchanan, stated that Judge Maymott, against whom some curious allegations were made recently, had not been suspended pending an investigation of his conduct, but had been told that it was desirable that he should take leave of absence pending a decision being arrived at. Judge Meymott had, accordingly, applied for leave of absence, and would perform no judicial function.
