MAGISTRATES’ COURTS.
CHRISTCHURCH. Tuesday, Juno 15. [Before G. L. Lee and B. Westenra, Fsqs., J.P.’s] Dbdnkbnnebs. —Mary Ann Newton, also charged with using obscene language at the Hsathcote Railway station, was_ dismissed with a caution. Isabella Leokie an old offender, who, only four days discharged from gaol, was found wandering about the streets last night at a late hour, drunk, stated she held an order for admission to the refuge. She was remanded for enquiries till Wednesday. Elisabeth Lynch, for being drunk and using obscene language was fined 20s. Illegally on Pbemibes. —Patrick Ryan was charged with being found in the stable of Mr Brightling at 5 a.m. this morning, and received 24 hours imprisonment. LYTTELTON. Tuesday, June 15. [Before J. Beswiok, Esq-, 8.M., and T, H. Potts, Esq., J.P.] Labceny.—William Cook, on remand, for stealing a watch and chain at Auckland, the property of Charles Hunt, was remanded, to proceed to Auckland on Thursday, the 17th instant.
