SUNNYSIDE ASYLUM.
A very pleasant afternoon’s entertainment was given to the inmates of Sunnyside Asylum yesterday, by the kindness of the members of the Froliqus Company. Miss Zitolla sang her flig and change songs. Miss Carrie Godfrey two ballads, Messrs. Reed, Gilbert, Harrington, Cummings, and Osborne also contributed items, which were highly appreciated and most thoroughly enjoyed by the patients, Mr Gilbert’s elaborate make-up and wonderful terpsichorean eccentricities eliciting roars of laughter. At the conclusion of the performance Mr Morris, on behalf of the inmates, thanked the company for the treat afforded them, which had been so much enjoyed. Mr Osborne responded in a very neat speech on i behalf of the Froliques, expressing the pleasure one and all felt at being able to oontri- l bate, in however small a degree, to the amusement of the inmates of the asylum, i The orchestra of the company, Messrs. 1 Thompson, McKenzie, and Boyd, it should i have been mentioned, also gave their services, Mr McKenaie playing an organ solo. I
