Drunkenness.—Two first offenders were fined sj.
Laeceny. —J. W. Puller, who had been remanded to Lyttelton for medical treatment, was charged with stealing 2s in coppers from the count-r of tho Junction Hotel. This having been shown to be a mere drunken freak, the case whs dismissed. Mary Brooks alias McAulay was brought up for stealing wearing apparel, &o , of the value of 265, from the house of M. M. Hutchins, who proved tho loss of the articles immediately after accused had left her house, where she had been lodging. Detective Benjamin proved the arrest and finding the accused wearing some of tho stolen articles and others in her house. Accused hero fell down in a fit, real or simulated, and was removed from the Court, the case being adjourned till Friday. Assault, with Intent to Rob. —James Crawford, who appeared on remand, was again remanded till Monday next.
Civil; Case. Duncan v. Henderson.— This case was again adjourned till the 10th inst.
