fllEUTEll’s TELEGRAMS.] SYDNEY, June 2. Shipping. Arrived— Tararna, from Auckland. A Bank Stuck Up. The Commercial Bank of Sydney at Quirindi lias been robbed by four armed men, who were masked. The manager of the Bank was engaged feeding bis horses at 10 p.m., when he was suddenly bailed up, and compelled to open the safe, from which £4BB in gold was taken. The manager’s wife and sister were covered by the revolvers of the robbers while the money was being taken. The robbers departed at one o’clock in the morning. The clerk was absent on leave, and the police wore engaged on country duty. MELBOURNE, June 3. Shipping. Arrived—Rotorua, from Bluff. Aquatic. E. Laycock, the well-known oarsman of Sydney, has gone to England by th# Aconcagua. It is stated he is desirous of meeting Hanlon. MELBOURNE, June 2. Racing. The total entries for the Melbourne Cup are 110, and for the Champion race 49. The Australian Eleven. From telegrams to hand, it is understood that Murdoch has superseded Boyl 0 as captain of the Australian team.
