ASHBURTON LICENSING COURT.

At a sitting of the above Court yesterday, before O. P. Cox (in the chair), H. T. Winter and J. Ward, Esqs., licensing commissioners, renewals of licenses were granted to Messrs E. W. Shearman, Somerset Hotel ; T. Quill, Commercial Hotel; Joseph Baldwin, Central Hotel; F. J. Butler, Family Hotel; W. Power, Boyal Hotel; D. McKenzie, Ashburton Hotel; P. Tisch, Spread Eagle Hotel ; E. Patten, Methven Hotel; John Tisch, Alford Forest Hotel ; W. Harris, Winslow Hotel; J. McNamara. Bailway Hotel, South Bakaia; E. Little, Hindhope; J. Hood, Mount Somers Hotel ; W. Scott, Tinwald Hotel; G. Wilcox, Wheatstone Hotel; F. Doherty, Waterton Hotel; James Wallace, Ohertsey Hotel. Tho license of the South Bakaia Hotel was transferred from Mr W. H. Partridge to Mr J. W. Francis, and that of the Barr Hill Hotel from Mr W. Johnstone to Mr Macfarlane.
