In the House to-day, Dr. Wallis gave notice that ho would move for the production of papers relative to the sailing of the t-iaemoaon her last two trips t > enable members to attend the session of Parliament. NEW BILLS. Mr Levin gave notice that he would ask leave to introduce the Bank of New Zealand Act Amendment Bill. Mr Hutcheson gave notice of hiainten*ion to introduce a Bill to Amend the Municipal Corporations’ Act. He also asked to have laid upon the table a return showing how much had been spent on the Wellington-Poxton railway out of the vote of -E-1000 passed last session for the construction of that line. The Premier g-wo notice of the Regulation of Elections Petitions Bill. FIRST READING. The Premier introduced a Bill to amend the Electric Telegraph Act, and it was rend a first time. ADDRESS IN REPLY. Mr Bketham, on behalf of Co'onel Trimble announced that on Tuesday next he (Colonel Trimble) would move an address in reply to the speech of the Governor. THE LATE PRINCESS ALICE. A message was read from the Governor cove ing a despatch from the Secreta yof State, acknowledging the receipt of a vote of condolence on the death of the Princess Alice, passed last session by both Houses of Parliament and stating that the Queen fully appreciated the communication. MISCELLANEOUS. A large number of notices of motion and questions were given and papers laid upon the table. The House then adjourned until Tuesday.
