t> n unsuccessful week has boon passed in above market. The heavy rain having deterred farme-s from coming to town the few transac tions reported in wheat do not show any change in values, good sound milling samples finding ready buyers at 3s fid f.o b.; lower qualities are, however, difficult to place at over 3a 3d for medium, and 3s for ordinary thin Private tele grama from London advise that the market there is again drooping, which is not to be wondered at, when the quantity of wheat afloat is taken inta consideration. Flour is easier, and is offering at .£ L 0 for delivery next month. The course of the oat market has not given any hopes of early improvement, good heavy milling being disposed of at la 3d to Is 4d, and feed descriptions at Is to la 2d. Barley is very sickly, and only very low prices can be obtained for anything that is not first class. It is very difficult in the present state of the market to give reliable quotations, but we q rote really good malting at 3s 3d. The rain has stopped deliveries of potatoes for the present. A few transaction? are reported at 255. Dairy produce is unchanged at lOd for butter, and 4d for cheese.
