ELECTION FOR THE NORTH-EAST WARD.
To the I.ditrr of the Globe. Sir, —I entirely concur with your correspondent who ngna himself *• North-east Ward,” and I think it will be a disgrace to that part of the city’ if some resident does not come for ward to represent it. Mr Morton may be a suitable candidate for aU that I know, bat it would certainly be a remarkable circumstance that four out of tho twelve Councillors should be in business next door to each other, viz., Cra. Cuff, Morton, King, and Hulbert, and a little further down tho same street Councillor Ayers. Truly High street will be well represented, but what about the other parts of the city. All I will say is that if the electors in the Northeast Ward don’t look out for one of their ow residents to represent them they deserve to be left out in the cold. 1 understand tomorrow is the last day of nomination. Yours, Ac., A RATEPAYER.
