CITY COUNCIL ELECTION.

To the Editor of the Globe. Sir,— It would appear that the seat for the North East Ward, recently vacated by Mr Wyatt. waß going a begging. Surely there are eligible citizens in that part of the city who have sufficient public spirit to offer themselves, without it being neceßsary to seek for them in Bigh street. I for one object to little cliques, and Messrs King and Hulbert are quite sufficient to represent High street, without adding Mr Morton, their next door neighbour, to their number. Moreover, it is altogether opposed to my idea of working the ward Bystem. Yours, &o. f NORTH EAST WARD.
