Tho cricket msteh between the Australians and Eighteen of Longsight was concluded to-day. Tho latter in their second innings scored 10G. Tno Australians then went in, and won the match by ten wicket 3. Spofforth, ?i the second innings of the Longsight team, took eight wickets.
May 23. Turkish Affairs. The Great Powers have come to an' understanding 1 , and have written a letter to Turkey in regard to the non-execution of the Treaty of Berlin so far as it relates to Greece and Montenegro. TheGreat Powers threaten that an European conference will be held at Berlin in July failing a speedy settlement of the existing difficulties.
