TRAINING NOTES.
By Sinead, The cold wind kept horses rather late on Wednesday morning, and, with the exception of Baron, who did about three miles pretty early, pone of the horses put in an appearance till the sun was pretty high. Mickey Free and the West Coast mare, Blue Bell, went a long sweat. Lone Hand, with Mr Cullen up, did a series of slow canters, while Mr Bradley took Miss Hucgerford a useful gallop twice round the plough. Black Prince, Satellite, and Eobin Hood, did slow work on the plough. Mclvor, on Loch Lomond, and Bay (not Bob), on Grey Momus, went a nice striding gallop, taking a jump or two on the road. The grey seemed to be the beat of the two. The Agent was not on the course, but schooled over some fences in the vicinity of Bob Bay’s. Mclvor on Mcßotler’e Maiden representative, Stella, went a rattling good gallop, the mare, though a little shifty, taking her jumps very prettily. Natator, Foul Play, On Dit, and some of the Bush Inn youngsters were also cut. Boyalty had a good turn, I hear, over the fences at Mr Murray’s place at Tai Tapu, and is in fins buckle.
