NOETH OTAGO CLUB. [By Telegraph.! OAMAEU, May 5. The Derby Stakes of this club were commenced to be run off to-day in a downpour of rain, which continued all day. The attendance was small, and the sport rather slow. The following are the results : Mr J. McDonald’s Bhododendron beat Messrs Eeed Bros’. Tni Mr Mercer’s Maccaroni beat Messrs McAnlay Bros’. Sefton Mr J. McDonald’s Phlox Drummondii beat Messrs McAulay Bros’. Jeannette Mr McGrant's Encore beat Mr J. Oliver’s Nemo Mr J. McDonald’s Carnation beat Mr C. Dodge’s Te Whetnmarama Mr M. Grant’s Liffy beat Messrs Eeed Bros’. Toi Tois. Mr J. McDonald’s Aster boat Mr M. Sherwin’s Maritana Mr A. Thomson’s Te Whiti beat Mr G. S. Lintott’s Bannockburn Mr A. Thomson’s Lockwood beat Mr B. Morton’s Sam Slick Mr J. McDonald’s Cineraria beat Mr A. Thomson’s Tangi Mr Boyd Thomson’s Shamrock beat Mr A. S. Otterson’s Banshee. TOKOMAIEIEO CLUB. The All-Aged Stakes at the Tokomairito coursing meeting were divided by Mr McLaren’s Sly and Mr Daniels’ Luffra.
