[eeuter’s telegrams.] LONDON, April 20. The Markets. Consols remain at 98-J. New Zealand securities are without quotable changeAdelaide breadstuffs have further declined, wheat, per 4961 b., ex being now at 555; and flour, per 4801 b., ex warehouse, at 39s 6d. New Zealand wheat is untouched. Australian beef tallow remains at 32s 6d; best mutton had declined 6d per cwt., and is now quoted at 355. LONDON, April 20. The Wool SalesThe new series of colonial wool auctions was opened to-day, when the quantity catalogued was 85,000 bales. The tone of the sales was strong, with an animated demand. Greasy is Id higher, and washed and scoured higher. There was a large attendance of homo and foreign buyers. The auctions close on Juno 12th. Shipping.
The steamship Norfolk has sailed from Plymouth. Arrived —Waipa, from Port Chalmers! Jessie Roadman, from the Bluff. April 21. Destructive HurricaneA most destructive hurricane has taken place in the Western States of America. The town of Missouri has been demolished and 100 persons killed.
