THE COUNCIL CLOCK.

To the Editor of the Globe. Srs, —As the selection of a suitable site for the above clock may be a difficult matter for the Council to settle, I will, with your permission, state wbat is by far the best position in the city. The place where the clock would prove both useful and ornamental, is in Latimer square. It is a well-known fact that the population of the city is rapidly spreading east, and also, that the residents on the east belt have great difficulty in hearing any of the western clocks strike. Therefore, as a simple matter of justice, 1 submit that the eastern ratepayers have the best claim to have the clock placed in some eastern locality. Tours, &0., O. M. Qbat.
