[reuter’s telegrams.] MELBOURNE, April 6. The Markets. There ia a good demand for milling oats. A cargo of Mauritius sugar has boon sold at a decline of 15s for whites and 10s for yellows. Mauritius advices, dated 24th March, state that the sugar market is firm, hut little is doing. Tonnage is scarce, and freights at 32s 6dBRISBANE, April 6. Queensland Revenue. The revenue of Queensland for the past quarter shows an increase of £30,000 as compared with the corresponding quarter of last year. There has
been a saving of expenditure to the extent of £29,000. SYDNEY, April 5. Shipping. Arrived —Rotorua, from New Zealand. The Revenue. The revenue for the quarter amounts to £928,481, beinga decrease of £201,603 compared with the same period last year. MELBOURNE, April 5. Meat Preserving CoA meeting has been held of the Melbourne Meat Preserving Company. A report of the most' satisfactory character was road, in which it was stated that the business still continued to improve.
